Troon Golf signs to run California, Kansas courses

Troon Golf has added Ironhorse Golf Club in the Kansas City suburb of Leawood, Kansas, and Diablo Grande Golf & Country Club in Patterson, Calif., to Troon’s industry-largest portfolio of managed courses.
Owned by the City of Leawood, Ironhorse was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and earned numerous accolades following its opening in 1995.
The course recently underwent a substantial upgrade of the facility, including redesign of the greens complexes and enhancement of the entire drainage system. The facility is also associated with The First Tee, and features extensive practice and game improvement areas.
Diablo Grande, a 30,000-acre residential and golf community in California’s Central Valley, approximately 80 miles east of San Francisco, includes two 18-hole courses.
One, designed by Jack Nicklaus and Gene Sarazen, is called the Legends Course. The other, designed by Denis Griffiths, is the Ranch Course.
