Scottsdale, Ariz.-based OB Sports, whose 31-course portfolio of managed properties is primarily made up of modern-era courses and clubs, has added an American classic to its client base.
After consulting with 1926 vintage Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., throughout the summer in advance of Sedgefield hosting the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship, OB has signed a long-term management deal with the member-owned private club.
Sedgefield brings a prestigious history to the OB fold. In addition to having hosted numerous professional and amateur events over the years, Sedgefield was designed by iconic course architect Donald Ross, with a 2007 restoration by architect Kris Spence to the original Ross specifications.
