It’s time for submissions in Golf Inc.’s annual competitions for new golf courses and new and renovated golf clubhouses. The contests are free to enter and those who are eligible can submit entries in either or both competitions.
The Development of the Year contest honors the best new golf developments throughout the world. The facilities chosen for this award will distinguish themselves through their ability to achieve the developer’s mission, the routing, course aesthetics and other project amenities. There will be separate categories for United States and International courses.
The Clubhouse Competition recognizes the best new and renovated or remodeled clubhouses across the globe. The facilities chosen for this award will be those that best realize the vision of the development team, the aesthetic appeal of the project and the efficiency and practicality of the floor plan. Entries will be divided into categories for private clubs and daily fee courses. A third category is for remodeled clubhouses – those involving interior or exterior alterations to an existing facility.
Any new golf course and new or remodeled clubhouse that opened between Jan. 1, 2008 and Aug. 31, 2009 is eligible. All entries must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 9.
The finalists will be honored in April 2010 at the Golf Inc. Conference at Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Amelia Island, Fla. Winners will be featured on the Golf Inc. Web site.
Entries may be submitted in on disk or by e-mail. Please call or e-mail Golf Inc. to request an entry packet and instructions: Call 858-300-3207 or e-mail: keith@cypressmagazines.com.
