Billy Casper Golf, East West Partners and Troon Golf all recently finalized new management deals.
The Longaberger Co. named Casper to manage its Longaberger Golf Club in Licking County, Ohio.
The public course, which was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1999 was ranked number 57 in Golf Magazine’s Top 100 You Can Play list, and tabbed as the number one public course in Ohio in this year’s Golf Digest rankings.
Billy Casper Golf, which signed a multi-year management agreement, will direct all course and property maintenance, staffing and training, marketing and public relations, special events and financial management of the club.
The decision to engage a management company is part of the Longaberger Co.’s plan to focus its personnel and resources on the company’s core business of producing handcrafted baskets.
In North Carolina, the Maggie Valley Club in the Smoky Mountain town of Maggie Valley, N.C., chose East West Partners Club Management to manage all aspects of the club’s resort and golf course community. The club’s golf course was opened in 1962, and the course, clubhouse and resort amenities have undergone over $10 million in renovations and upgrades in recent years.
East West Partners, a full-service hospitality club management firm headquartered in Chapel Hill, N.C., currently manages 24 club operations across five states. The company has named Jay Manner as the new general manager for the Maggie Valley Club.
Troon Golf, the world’s largest management company with more than 200 courses in its portfolio, signed on to manage the golf course, tennis center and club facilities at Costa Blanca by Metro in the Dominican Republic.
The 300-acre resort will include an 18-hole Greg Norman-designed course, Chris Evert Tennis Center, 180-slip marina, several high-rise condo towers, luxury villas and other residential elements.
Construction of the first nine holes is under construction by Group Metro Corp., one of the Dominican Republic’s most active real estate developers.
