Black Creek Golf Course in Savannah, Ga., has been sold to G&C Golf LLC by owner Frank Dubose.
Though the sale price for the 18-hole, semi-private course was not disclosed, comparative semi-private courses in eastern Georgia have generally sold for anywhere from $3 million to $4.8 million.
The new ownership group, headed by Ed Dennis, will implement a variety of changes, including the hiring of Andrew Vanlerberghe as new course superintendent. The owners also will upgrade and rename the course’s restaurant.
A Jim Bevins-design built in 1994, the course plays 6,300 yards from the championship tees. Greens fees range from $20 to $43.
