Membership group pays $3.7 million for Massachusetts club

Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, Mass., is in the final stages of being sold to a group of the club’s members for $3.7 million.
The seller is Twin Hills Realty Group, which has owned the golf course since its opening in 1965.
Participants in the new ownership group have indicated plans to conduct an aggressive campaign for new members, with an eye toward at least doubling the club’s current total of 115 members.
The plan will likely include a significant reduction in new membership dues from $4,600 per year for individuals to $3,200 annually. Full family memberships will be lowered from $5,800 per year to $4,200.
