A Korean-based firm has purchased the Willapa Harbor Golf Course in Raymond, Wash.
It’s one of the first ventures into the U.S. golf market for the buyer, Kosses USA. The seller was Louis Runge, whose family has owned and operated the course since 1940.
Sale price was not disclosed for the 9-hole course that opened in 1926.
Runge blamed deteriorating economic conditions for the decision to sell the property. He said the new ownership group would provide a needed cash infusion.
