Cypress, Crittenden Announce Strategic Partnership
Cypress Magazines and Crittenden Conferences announced a strategic partnership on Feb 2, that brings the two organizations to work together on the Golf Inc. Conference, Golf Inc. magazine, and the re-launch of the Golf Business & Real Estate newsletter.
Crittenden Conferences, which is owned by Alan Crittenden, founded the Golf Inc Conference in 1989 and started the magazine in 1991.
Cypress Magazines, owned by Alan’s son, Jack, took over operation of the magazine in 1998, and the conferences in 2005. Crittenden ceased publication of the Golf Business & Real Estate newsletter in late 2008, after more than 20 years of publication.
“Both companies have a long history in the golf industry,” said Jack Crittenden. “Until now, we did not have a common vision, and so it was hard to work together. But this makes so much sense, and allows both companies to do more.”
Crittenden Conferences will now oversee operation of the conferences and newsletter, and Cypress Magazines will oversee the magazine.
“The Golf Inc. Conference is a first-class event, and we expect to maintain its status as the industry’s highest-rated educational seminar,” said Alan Crittenden. “We are also excited to bring back the Golf Business & Real Estate newsletter, and expect it to again be the cutting-edge news source on golf business.”
Shayna Stinson, Conference Director for the past seven years at Crittenden Conferences, will oversee operation of the Golf Inc. Conferences, which are held twice a year. Crittenden Conferences currently produces six events a year in the real estate and medical markets.
Golf Inc announced it will publish four print and digital issues in 2010, thanks to advertising support and the strategic partnership. Jack Crittenden remains Editor in Chief of Golf Inc., and Katina Cavagnaro the Publisher.
Golf Business & Real Estate newsletter will premiere on March 1, 2010.
