Gleneagles Country Club recently wrapped up an $8.2 million improvement program.
Work at the Plano, Texas, private club included construction of a new restaurant and grill area, outdoor terrace, bar and wine cellar and women’s locker room. In addition, upgrades were made to Gleneagles’ two 18-hole course courses (originally designed by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin), driving range, tennis courts, pool facilities, fitness club and kids club.
The ClubCorp-managed facility, founded in 1985, made the improvements over a six-year period.
“We are thrilled with the upgrades made to Gleneagles,” said Lisa Neel, general manager of Gleneagles. “Although it’s been a journey, the renovations made to the club will better serve our members, giving them a contemporary, comfortable space to enjoy all of Gleneagles’ amenities. This renovation project not only emphasizes our dedication to the future of Gleneagles, but also upholds the club’s 33-year tradition of excellence.”
