New, private course development underway in Florida

The signature course is being designed by Jack Nicklaus

Golfers in south Florida will soon have another golf club to consider playing. Panther National will be a private course within the community of Avenir that’s in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Panther National will be an 18-hole championship course that features a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. It will be complemented by a 9-hole, Par-3 short course and a state-of-the-art training practice facility.

Nicklaus Design was founded by Jack Nicklaus more than 50 years ago and is based in Palm Beach. Nicklaus Designs is partnering with Centaur US Holdings to create Panther National.

“Developing the first private golf club community in Florida with a contemporary architectural style has been a vision of mine for some time,” said Dominik Senn, Founder of Centaur US Holdings. “Partnering with Jack and the Nicklaus Design team was an easy decision. Nobody does a better job in creating a golf experience that can challenge the top touring professionals in the world, while offering an enjoyable experience for members and guests of all ages and skill levels.”

The 210-acre course will sit on a unique chunk of land in south Florida. The 2,400 acres of secluded preserve features dramatic elevation changes and will soon to be home to the first world-class golf community to ever be developed in Palm Beach County.
