EZLinks acquires GolfSwitch and OpenTee

EZLinks Golf LLC, a PGA Tour affiliated company, announced the acquisition of GolfSwitch Inc., an integration platform, connecting more than 40 tee sheets and thousands of golf courses with hundreds of distribution channels worldwide. It also acquired OpenTee, a tee time reservation platform and consumer site. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“EZLinks Golf is committed to creating a more competitive marketplace for golf courses and golfers alike,” EZLinks Golf Chief Executive Officer Gary Cohen said in a news release. “The GolfSwitch platform provides all golf courses with the opportunity to market and sell their inventory through multiple distributions channels, including TeeOff.com by PGA Tour.”

This comes on the heels of the announcement that it forged a new company with the PGA Tour, thus rebranding its consumer website as TeeOff.com by PGA Tour.

“As a significant shareholder in EZLinks Golf, the PGA Tour is excited and supportive of the acquisition and EZLinks efforts to grow and expand the game,” Tom Wade said in a news release, chief commercial officer of the PGA Tour.

EZLinks Golf LLC, a PGA Tour affiliated company, also produces operational software and golf marketing services. Founded in 2015 by the PGA Tour and EZLinks Golf Inc., EZLinks Golf LLC software and service suite which, in addition to its online tee time marketplace, includes: tee sheet, point of sale, 24/7 reservation center, online booking engines and marketing services.
