Golf Inc. Magazine will recognize the top Redevelopments of the year as part of its annual Development of the Year competition. This is the first time the magazine will honor a redevelopment.
“The market has shifted from new development to creative redevelopment of exisitng golf courses,” said Jack Crittenden, Editor In Chief of Golf Inc. “We invite golf course developers, owners, architects and others to nominate the projects that are setting the pace for the future of the golf industry.”
Development of the year recognizes the best new golf courses, as judged by vision, business plan and aesthetics. The redevelopment category will be open to golf courses that made significant capital improvements that altered the project’s business plan, but retained a golf course. Examples could include courses that rerouted their golf course so they could build additional housing, or a pool for members. Or courses that developed nine holes but retained nine holes.
Entries must be received by Thursday Jan. 5, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. PST.
Golf Inc. magazine’s awards are the most distinguished competitions in the golf industry. Developments are eligible if they were completed after Jan. 1, 2015, and were not previously entered into the competition. Winners will be announced online in early 2017 and will be featured in the March/April issue of Golf Inc.
