Bobby Jones Links managing public works in addition to golf course

Big Canoe in north Georgia is the third property for the management company in 2020

A large master-planned community has found a home with Bobby Jones Links. Big Canoe is the third property that the Atlanta-based management company has added in 2020.

“Big Canoe is a spectacular place. It’s very large in scope, yet it has a small town feel to it. The natural beauty of the property and the community’s commitment to the environment make it very special,” said Steve Willy, a Founding Partner of Bobby Jones Links.

Big Canoe is a gated community, consisting of more than 8,000 acres and approximately 3,000 residents. The community has views of the North Georgia mountains and features a 27-hole golf course.

In addition to overseeing the operation of the multitude of amenities, Bobby Jones Links will also manage public works and safety to include 89 miles of roadways and six fire stations located inside the gates.

“We welcomed over 150 new associates to our company,’ Interim General Manager Gautam Patankar said. “This included a full-time fire department with 17 fire fighters. Now that’s a first for Bobby Jones Links, but one we are proud to add to our expanding capabilities.”

Bobby Jones Links was formerly known as Mosaic Clubs and Resorts. Last year the company partnered with the Jones Family and became Bobby Jones Links. It provides clients with broad experience building, owning, and operating more than 200 clubs worldwide. This includes all types of clubs from daily fee to elite private properties.
