Hot on the heels of its acquisition of six former Mickelson-owned properties in Arizona, Arcis Golf has further expanded its Texas portfolio by acquiring the Golf Club at Twin Creeks, in Allen, Texas, a course it has been managing.
The company assumed ownership and operation on September 1. The purchase brings the total of Arcis-owned properties in Texas up to 20, with 11 of those in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The company’s total number of clubs is 70 across 13 states.
The Golf Club at Twin Creeks first opened in 1995 and was quickly named as one of the best courses in Texas by Golf Digest. Features include a large practice facility with 25 hitting stations, driving range, putting and chipping greens, and practice bunkers. Jeff Raffelson, Arcis’s regional VP of operations, said that course conditioning, such as restoration of native grasses, and structural upgrades are a top priority.
“The Golf Club at Twin Creeks is another great acquisition for us,” said Blake Walker, CEO of Arcis Golf. “Our immediate focus is establishing an accelerated path for the club’s future growth, including a reinvestment into the club, enhanced subscription offerings, curated experiences and content, and more.”
Walker started the company seven years ago with nothing but an idea for a large company. He is speaking for the first time at the Golf Inc. Summit in October, and will share the Arcis story.
