In case you hadn’t heard, July is Family Golf Month across the United States. It’s a time when the Play Golf America organization is urging every golf operator around the country to offer programs that will draw families to the course.
If you haven’t already got something planned at your course, it’s not too late. There are plenty of great events you still can organize such as staging family golf clinics, family play events or kids-play-free days. All it takes is a bit of imagination and a lot of enthusiasm to make it a great time for all.
In 2008, more than 85,000 people participated in Family Golf Month activities around the country. How many of those came to your course? This year, make a vow to do something to bring out moms, dads and children.
