Reed Guanghe Exhibitions, which runs the China Golf Show and the Asia Golf Show, is moving the golf course construction and maintenance aspect of the shows into its own event, and adding a new business focused event. There will be a total of four shows in 2015 — two merchandise shows and two industry trade shows.
The China Golf Show has been held annually in Beijing and the Asia Golf Show in Shenzhen. Both shows have grown and Reed Guanghe, the China Golf Association and the PGA of America worked together to reformat the shows to focus on topics that are more critical to show attendees. The partners hope that the strategic changes will maximize the potential of Asia’s burgeoning golf industry.
The two merchandise shows will stay on their current schedule — the China Golf-PGA Merchandise Show in Beijing in March, and the Asia Golf-PGA Merchandise Show in Shenzhen in the Fall.
The China Golf Industry Expo will also be held in Beijing in March. It is relaunching as an annual trade show dedicated to golf course design, maintenance and construction. It will be held in Shenzhen in 2016.
Reed Guanghe also announced a new event — the Asia Golf Congress. It will debut in Shenzhen in the Fall of 2015 and will focus on one-on-one business meetings for golf industry professionals. It will provide networking opportunities, professional education and hands-on demonstrations for golf trade professionals.
“The new show positioning and strategy will enable the portfolio of golf events to deliver better value to our customers, thanks to more effective partnering and engagement with the industry and a more focused approach to meeting the diverse needs of the golf industry in China and across Asia,” said Josephine Lee, General Manager of Reed Guanghe Exhibitions. “This places us in prime position to unleash the growth potential that resides within the Chinese and Asian golf industries.”
