Landscapes to manage Bulter’s GC

Landscapes Management Company, a division of Landscapes Unlimited, LLC, announced that it will assume full management responsibilities at Butler’s Golf Course in Elizabeth, Pa.

Opened in 1928, Butler’s Golf Course features two 18-hole golf courses, the Woodside and Lakeside. Woodside, featuring many of the original holes, is a par-72, 6,314 yard layout routed through woods and overlooks the Youghiogheny River. Lakeside, is a par 72, 6,689 yard design with a front nine that opened in 1963 and the back nine was added in 2000. With dramatic vistas, generous landing areas, and no parallel fairways Lakeside is a popular choice for golfers.

“We are pleased to be working with the ownership and existing management team, especially General Manager Tom Tokarski who has been so instrumental in achieving the recent success that Butler’s has enjoyed,” said Landscapes Management Company’s President, Tom Everett. “I am confident our experience will prove valuable in building upon past successes, while expanding services and programming to achieve the objectives of the ownership group.”

Bulter’s Golf Course is the latest contract for Landscapes Management Company in what has been a very exciting growth period. To date, Landscapes portfolio has expanded to over 40 facilities in the U.S. and abroad.

“In our 88th year, our family and Board have again chosen to partner with a management company who will oversee day-to-day operations at the course,” said fourth generation co-owner of Butler’s Golf Course, Christy Barowich. “We were fortunate to be able to choose from several well-qualified options, and we believe that Landscapes Unlimited will be a good fit at Butler’s.”

In addition to a continued emphasis on course conditions, Landscapes Unlimited will also focus on the golf shop, driving range, restaurant, banquets and bed & breakfast.

Founded in 1976, Landscapes Unlimited has completed more than 1,500 projects in golf course construction, renovation and recreational development. In addition to its construction division, Landscapes Management Company has been involved in the development and management of more than 60 golf courses since 1988. It is the 16th largest golf management company in the world with a 18 hole equivalent count of 39.5 courses in its current management portfolio.
