Troon Golf has added two new golf resort destinations to its world’s largest portfolio of managed golf facilities.
The company has been selected to manage the 36-hole Lion Lake Resort in China and golf operations for Mediterannia Saidia at The Palmeral, an 18-hole course in northeast Morocco.
Lion Lake Resort, formerly called the Qingyuan Lion Lake Golf Club, is located approximately an hour northwest of China’s largest golf market in Guangzhou. The resort is in the midst of a major renovation which, when completed, will feature two five-star resorts and convention centers, two Rick Jacobson-designed 18-hole championship courses, a yacht club, vineyards and a high-end residential community.
The first Lion Lake course is set to open in August, with the second course scheduled for completion early next summer.
Mediterannia Saidia, located in the province of Berkane, Morocco, facing the shores of Almeria, Spain, is a new resort destination featuring an 18-hole championship course designed by Francisco Segales. The course is currently open for play.
