Troon takes over Pronghorn Club in Oregon

Troon Golf is taking over management of the Pronghorn Club in Bend, Oregon.

Pronghorn is high-end resort that features two 18-hole golf courses, the Tom Fazio Course and the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. Both courses have been highly acclaimed

 

“With the operational challenges affecting both private and public golf courses today, Pronghorn elected to have Troon Golf manage our club, utilizing their vast resources to bring economic efficiencies that will assist in delivering a world-class experience to our members and guests,” said Tom Hix, managing member of Pronghorn’s ownership group.

Spencer Schaub is the resort’s new general manager, and much of the rest of the staff is unchanged.

Pronghorn has a new clubhouse, spa services and  fitness facilities. The resort recently unveiled the TOURAcademy, viewed as a leader in the golf instruction industry. The TOURAcademy provides a variety of diverse instruction programs - including golf schools, junior camps, and private lessons - to golfers of every skill level.

"Pronghorn is an exceptional golf destination that offers not only a premier private club experience, but attractive stay & play packages for the ultimate golf getaway as well," stated Jim McLaughlin, senior vice president, Troon Privé.

Troon manages another Oregon golf course, The Club at Paradise Ranch in GrantsPass.It now oversees operations at properties located in 31 states and 26 countries.
