Joey Garon formed a new third-party management company called New Leaf Recreation LLC, which
operates courses in Louisiana and Minnesota. Garon was previously president of New Leaf Management, the golf operational arm of Bonita Bay.

Garon’s latest addition is Eagle Trace Golfers Club, a semi-private facility on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Clearwater, Minn. The par-70 layout, which opened in 1995, was designed by John Ruggieri and features a 9.4-acre practice facility and 10,000-square-foot clubhouse.

“We are very pleased to bring New Leaf on board to direct our club operations,” said Bruce Gohman, owner of Eagle Trace Golfers Club. “They are an excellent fit to elevate Eagle Trace to what we envision will be one of the top golf clubs in the area.”

New Leaf used to be part of Bonita Bay Group, which fought off bankruptcy recently, but still faces fraud charges.
