(Golf Inc) – Landscapes Golf Group has signed a contract to provide limited scope management services for The Country Club of Blue Springs in Blue Springs, Mo.
“Having Landscapes Golf Group involved with our Club will provide us an opportunity to not only get an improved system of financial reporting, but also a way to preview their firm in the case we decide to engage them for full management in the future,” said Pat Yokley, board member at Blue Springs Country Club.
Landscapes Golf Group, which is the 17th largest management company in the world with 22 courses, will provide accounting services for the 40-year old golf course. The club’s controller recently left, creating an immediate need for accounting services. While full club management was already being considered by the club’s Board, it identified the partnership as an opportunity to give LGG a working interview.
“This opportunity marks another example of our ability to adapt to the customer’s needs with our services,” said Bryce Juedes, controller for LGG.
The course was built on approximately 115 acres in 1969, and is owned by the members. There have been numerous renovations and upgrades to the Clubhouse, Pro Shop, Maintenance and Pool facilities. The golf course saw a complete reconstruction over a period of two years, from early 2002 through late 2003.
This is the second Kansas City-area facility that Landscapes Golf Group is involved with. LGG owns and operates Drumm Farm Golf Club in Independence, MO. Founded in 1976, Landscapes Unlimited is an industry leader with over 1,000 completed projects in the areas of golf course construction, renovation, and recreational development.
In addition to its construction division, Landscapes Golf Group has been responsible for the development and management of over 30 golf courses since 1990.
