The Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club in Coquitlam, Vancouver, British Columbia, is expected to be sold to Jeong Ho Lee, owner of the Burnaby-based Revs Bowling chain.
The sale will include the club’s nearby nine-hole golf academy and driving range.
Lee is purchasing the club from developer Wesbild Holdings Ltd., which built the 20,000-resident Westwood Plateau community. Wesbild, owned by Future Shop chain founder Hassan Khosrowshani, also owns the Predator Ridge Golf Resort in Vernon and is presently developing a large tract of land it owns on Burke Mountain in northeast Coquitlam.
The club’s 18-hole course, which opened in 1995 and commands greens fees of up to $169 in peak times during its April-October season, was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan.
