Harkers Hollow in NJ reopens as public course

Harkers Hollow Golf & Country Club in the Phillipburg, N.J. recently reopened under new ownership.

 

The 18-hole course, which was built in 1929, closed in December as a private club, after 80 years of operation.

 

It is now a public course with Green fees at  $69 on weekends.

 

An investment group headed by the owners of Apple Mountain Golf & Country Club in Belvidere, N.J., is buying the property with plans to operate it as a public/semi-private course, spokesperson Dan Hirshberg  told the Morning Call in Allentown, Pa. Once the sale is complete, the new owners plan to open a restaurant, Hirshberg said
