MISSOURI (Crittenden Golf Business & Real Estate™) - Mike Mellinger of Mellinger Commercial LLC recently brokered the purchase of Deer Lake Golf Course in Springfield, Mo. The 80-acre residential subdivision and an adjacent 107 acres of undeveloped land recently sold for $3.5 million. The buyer was Tulsa, Okla.-based Deer Lake Partners LLC. The seller’s agent David Murray of R.B. Murray Co. had the property listed for $3.75 million. Under the management of Tulsa developer and P&H Properties owner Robert Phillips, Deer Lake Partners is seeking Greene County Planning Board approval to develop an industrial park on the 107 acres. A rezoning request could be voted on at the board’s next meeting July 28. Noel Spering, operating general manager of the course, said the golf business would continue as usual. The 80-acre subdivision, which comprised 42 finished lots in close proximity to the Springfield-Branson National Airport and Interstate 44-Highway 266 interchange, was quickly sold to Rick Gregg at Nixa-based Pegasus Investments LLC.
