I do not know if the educational topics have been identified to this point, but if not, i would like to suggest to Golf Inc that we please avoid the discussions of the negative impacts the economy is having on the game of golf and golf developments. We all know, and feel, the reduction in housing development, new golf development and renovations. I'm sure i'm not the only one that would like to see something different in the presentations instead of the same old topics presented by the same old people. Presentation of projects that have been uniquely financed or faced unique challenges would be of interest. For the not so near future, we will all be faced with how to creatively get projects completed.

Interesting to note that whilst a second course is about to commence construction at Desert Springs by the Almanzora Group in southern Spain, two of the three courses at Lake Las Vegas, USA have been closed. I have played at both locations and wonder if the recession is affecting our American cousins far more than it is in Europe?

I would love the opportunity to attend your conference as I am a shaper. I returned from Saudi Arabia 1 month ago where I was the lead shaper on the 1st PGA certified course in the kingdom. We were victims of the economic crisis and were put on hold with only two holes left to complete. Since returning I am trying to find my next project which is proving difficult. I would love the chance to network with the elite of the golf course industry. I live in the mtns. above Palm Springs so this would be in my backyard. I would be there anyway if I were not unemployed. Thank you phone #(951)659-4769
