The Links at Terranea in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas in Balchik, Bulgaria, have been honored as the winners in Golf Inc. magazine’s annual Development of the Year contest for 2009.
“This was one of the most competitive Development of the Year contests in recent memory,” said Katina Cavagnaro, publisher of Golf Inc. “Despite the slowdown in golf development around the globe, we found that the quality of the entries was exceptional.”
Golf Inc. will honor the winners and finalists at the upcoming Golf Inc. Spring Conference at the Amelia Island Plantation in Amelia Island, Fla., April 12-14, 2010. The winners also will be featured in the Winter issue of Golf Inc.
The Links at Terranea, designed by Todd Eckenrode of Origins Golf Design, was honored as the top finisher in the U.S. courses category. Runner-up was The Preserve on Rathbun Lake in Moravia, Iowa. Finalists were Martis Camp Club in Truckee, Calif., Tetherow Golf Club in Bend, Ore., and The Ridge Golf Club in Sioux Center, Iowa.
