The construction arm of the Taiwan-based Foxconn Group plans to develop an 18-hole golf course as part of its planned Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park east of Hanoi.
Singapore-based IMG Golf Course Services will design the course, scheduled to open in 2011.
Foxconn’s KCT Engineering will supervise the development, with the course integrated within a residential development.
KCT executive Patrick Wu said the course would serve the growing golfer population in the greater Hanoi area. He also said the company is planning other projets in Asia, primarily focusing on development of industrial parks, commercial and residential structures and recreation facilities.
IMG’s Golf Course Design division has been involved in design of more than 60 courses in the Asia-Pacific region.
