The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at Red Ledges in the Heber Valley of Utah opened earlier this month. The private course in the Red Ledges four-season recreational community is the 200th course created by Nicklaus Design to open in the U.S.
The course, featuring views of the Rocky Mountains, is headed by Tony Burns, the managing owner of Red Ledges and the former Ryder Systems CEO.
Troon Golf will manage the property. Future golf-related plans include development of a 9-hole Nicklaus Design short course, a Jim McLean golf school and an upscale clubhouse.
The community eventually will include 1,200 homes spread across nearly 2,000 acres.
