PGA and European Tour and Ryder Cup player Darren Clarke will be involved in a £55 million golf course, hotel, spa and residential development planned in Wellbank Hall in Angus, Scotland.
Initial plans are being submitted for public review for the project. Clarke will design the 18-hole golf course and provide other support to the project, which is being headed by local entrepreneur Mike Forbes. It will be Clarke’s first signature design in Scotland.
The facility also is scheduled to include the Golf Youth Academy, which will reportedly be run by Rudy Duran, who served as Tiger Woods’ junior golf coach.
