Napa Golf Associates announced this week the upcoming “relaunching” of its Chardonnay Golf Club with a new 18-hole routing.
The Chardonnay Golf Club, nestled in Napa Valley, is downsizing from a 27-hole course in response to the recent slump of the economy. The new configuration of the 18-hole course will include six par fives, six par fours, and six par threes.
“By transforming the club from 27-holes to 18-holes we will be able to realize our owners’ goal of becoming the premier golf club in the Napa Valley region by making the necessary improvements and enhancements to the golf course in order to elevate it to that status,” explained Roger Billings, PGA General Manager at Chardonnay.
The Chardonnay Golf Club will be offering a “swing into spring” special for golfers to check out the new course during the first two weeks of April.

What a nice way to merely cover the fact that the property is not doing well, there are not enough rounds to cover operating costs and the owners want to cut losses. And we talk about how the Washington Politicos spin crap.
