Slovak developer Slavomir Pavle has hired Scottish architect Tom Mackenzie to design what will at first be a six-hole links-style golf course on an 82-acre parcel in the village of Sebedrazie.
The first six holes are expected to be ready for play in 2010, with another three holes to make a full nine ready by 2012. Slovakian architect Peter Gal did the initial routing for the layout.
In addition to the golf course, Pavle plans to build an all-weather practice facility with a driving. The developer holds a 99-year lease on the property, which is municipally owned.
Sebedrazie is just south of Prievidza, 75 miles northeast of Bratislava.
