Troon to manage Powder Horn

Troon, the world’s largest management company, has been selected to manage The Powder Horn Golf Community in Sheridan, Wyo.

The Powder Horn features a large golf community located in the Rocky Mountains, with views of the Big Horn Mountains. In addition to its numerous activities and club amenities, The Powder Horn’s 27-hole golf course is the community’s centerpiece.

Composed of more than 900 acres, the community offers a variety of real estate options include home sites, custom homes, patio homes and cottages. All Powder Horn properties offer views of the Big Horn Mountains or Little Goose Valley.

The Homer Scott Jr. family will retain ownership of The Powder Horn and serve as the governing board.  A Troon trained general manager will join The Powder Horn early in 2016 to work with the governing board, the present management team as well as interface with Troon corporate.

Additionally, The Powder Horn also features dining, a swimming pool facility, tennis courts, walking trails and a 30,000 square-foot clubhouse. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., Troon is the world’s largest golf management company, with now more than 250 golf courses in its portfolio.
