RCS Hospitality Group, a consulting firm, has launched RCS University, an online training portal for private clubs and public courses. It is the first training portal of its kind, and includes sessions on beverage cart operations, hospitality training on phone etiquette, member service, and training the trainer.
“I believe that every club’s true competitive edge is its service culture and the people who are delivering the member experience,” said RCS founder and president Whitney Reid Pennell.
The sessions are designed to provide online training for high turnover positions, such as outside services, beverage cart, food and beverage, receptionist, customer service, and entry to mid-level management positions.
“Very often we see supervisors who want to move up the ladder or who are promoted, but they do not always receive the training needed for the next position,” said Whitney Reid Pennell, President of RCS. “We wanted to change that and become an ongoing training partner on site and online for our industry.”
RCS is offering a 48-hour trial with reasonable pricing. The company plans to add more training sessions in the spring.
“As club managers are asked to do more with less in a competitive labor market, we want to help them with their endless training needs for high turnover positions and offer ongoing opportunities for continuous skill development,” Reid Pennell said. “Online training is the best opportunity for clubs with limited training budgets.”
Reid Pennell said online training is convenient, affordable, provides consistency and is interactive.
