KemperSports hires new marketing executives, Streamsong leaders

KemperSports has made a number of personnel moves recently, with the most recent being Kristine Rose joining the company as its senior vice president of marketing. The company says it’s part of a strategic plan to fulfill its future plans and growth.  

“In regard to the past year, we have focused on growing the business and hired in a few new key positions,” said  Jim Stegall, COO. “executive level hires in operations, marketing and finance have been fueled by the addition of 21 new clients over the past two years.”

Rose will lead KemperSports’ marketing strategy in support of the company’s more than 130 properties as well as its corporate marketing, branding and loyalty initiatives.  

“Kristine is an accomplished and seasoned marketing strategist who has led successful campaigns for some of the country’s top consumer brands,” said Steve Skinner, CEO of KemperSports. “Her strong background in hospitality will be invaluable in helping us connect with our audiences in a meaningful way as we look to grow our platform of best-in-class golf, resort and hospitality venues.”

Kristine has more than 20 years of marketing experience in the hospitality, restaurant and retail industries, most recently serving as the global head of hotel marketing and brand strategy for Hard Rock International. She has also held leadership roles with Hyatt Hotels Corporation. 

KemperSports hired Sara Kearney as vice president of hospitality and strategic initiatives in late November. She will support KemperSports’ expansion of its relationship with Streamsong Resort to assume management of all resort operations She will also support the company’s other destination lodging properties, as well as work with executive leadership on strategic marketing and growth initiatives. Kearney has 25 years of experience in hospitality and hotel management, most recently working at Hyatt. 

Kevin Kennedy joined Streamsong Resort as the general manager and Craig Falanga will serve as its director of sales and marketing. 

 “We have a great team at Streamsong and the appointment of these two leaders will help us take the guest experience to the next level,” Skinner said. “Kevin and Craig are both passionate about Streamsong and delivering exceptional service. They will be great assets in executing our long-term growth plans for the resort.”

Kennedy joins KemperSports with nearly three decades of experience working for Hyatt Hotels and serving as general manager for properties across the United States. Most recently, Kennedy was the general manager at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. Throughout his career, Kennedy has taken on leadership roles in community organizations including chairman of the board of directors for Visit Anaheim and chairman of the I-Drive CRA Advisory Board in Orlando. He will begin his new role of general manager at Streamsong on Feb. 8, 2021. Kennedy grew up on the East Coast of Florida and is an avid golfer. He is looking forward to bringing his passion and expertise in golf into his new role at Streamsong. 

Falanga is a long-time KemperSports leader and an industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience in luxury golf, resorts, and private club properties. Prior to his current role at Streamsong, Falanga served as KemperSports’ regional sales and marketing director, driving innovative marketing campaigns and business development strategies on behalf of several resort destinations including Streamsong Resort, Golden Horseshoe, The Links at Perry Cabin and Mossy Oak Golf Club.  

KemperSports promoted Erica Espe to regional sales and marketing director. She started working for the management company 12 years ago, most recently serving as the sales and marketing director at Heron Glen Golf Course in Ringoes, New Jersey. In her new role, Espe will oversee the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies for multiple properties on the east coast.
