KemperSports adds Nemadji Golf Course

The city of Superior, Wisconsin, has selected KemperSports to manage golf operations at Nemadji Golf Course, a 36-hole facility that can be played in a shorter 9-hole format or as an 18-hole course.

“The City of Superior is excited to welcome KemperSports and their outstanding reputation in the golf industry,” said City of Superior Mayor Jim Paine. “We look forward to a long and successful partnership that will provide fun and healthy summertime activities for our citizens and visitors and maintain Nemadji Golf Course’s long-standing reputation as the premier course in Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.”

The facility includes design elements from three distinctly different architects — Stanley Pelcher, Don Herfort and Roger Packard, who also designed courses at two other KemperSports-managed properties.

“Nemadji Golf Course in Superior is very unique,” said City of Superior Council Vice President Craig Sutherland. “It’s a huge asset to our city and we needed a management company that can help this course grow. KemperSports fits that exact demand and we are excited to work with them for years to come.”

In addition to the course, Nemadji provides practice facilities, a full-service bar and grill, banquet space and a large golf shop.

“Nemadji is a great amenity for the community,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “It has a very active junior development program and hosts more than 70+ golf outings a year due to the 36-hole facility and other activities. We plan to continue to build on this success and are grateful to the City for selecting us as the course’s new management partner.”
