Gutierrez named GM of Max Mandel GC

The City of Laredo's Max A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course (known as The MAX), announced that Laredo native Dennis Gutierrez has assumed the role as the facility's new General Manager. Prior to this appointment, Gutierrez served as assistant golf instructor at The MAX and also as interim GM for several months.

A graduate of Texas A&M International, Gutierrez played on the golf team and later became the assistant golf coach at the school. He also spent several years working as a Broadcast Manager for Yahoo UK in London. 

"We are pleased to have Dennis serve in the capacity as general manager at The MAX," said Horacio De Leon, Jr., Assistant City Manager, City of Laredo. "Dennis understands the importance of overseeing the day to day operations of this golf course and he will exceed expectations when it comes to service and handling our golfing guests and those interested in private parties, weddings or other events. With a world-class golf course designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and a superb clubhouse offering excellent dining to the public, Dennis has every opportunity to grow and attract business to The MAX."

Dennis lives in Laredo with his wife and two daughters. He is continuing his education as he pursues a Masters Degree in Public Administration.
