Dave Richey is stepping down as president of Toll Golf division, the division within Toll Brothers that oversees golf development and operations. Maurice Darbyshire will assume the role of president.
Richey has been part of the Toll Golf Division for 14 years. During his tenure he built and opened seven golf courses and eight clubhouses. He grew the division to more than 13,000 members, with close to 1,000 employees. The division was founded in 1998.
“I have the utmost confidence in the country club leadership and operational skills that Maurice possesses,” Richey said. “During his 11 year tenure with Toll Golf he has proven to senior management at Toll Brothers that he is ready and qualified for the promotion to President of the Division.”
Toll Golf assists with the concept, development, construction, and the day-to-day operations of the golf and country club amenities located within Toll Brothers residential country club developments.
Maurice Darbyshire has spent his professional career in the club industry dating back to his early years where he started as a caddy.
“While I am eager to begin my new role with Toll Golf, it is also a time to reflect,” Darbyshire said. “Dave stepping down will leave a major void of 40 plus years of experience in the industry that many of our employees have leaned upon regularly, including myself. He is a true titan in the golf business who will be sorely missed. I take my next step with great honor as well as a tremendous sense of responsibility to carry on the tradition of excellence established by Dave.”
