Golf Inc. is accepting entries for its 22nd annual Clubhouse of the Year contest, and new to this year’s judging criteria is adherence to sustainability. Nominees will be asked to describe their efforts in regards to water efficiency, energy consumption, materials used in construction and indoor environmental quality.
The new category will count for only 5 percent of the final score, but Golf Inc. will also recognize the top projects for sustainability in a separate story. Other judging factors include efficiency, aesthetics and vision.
New and remodeled clubhouses that opened after Jan. 1, 2015 but before Dec. 31, 2015 are eligible to enter. There are two categories for new clubhouses: Daily fee and private clubs. There is also a category for remodels and renovations.
To receive an entry packet and instructions on how to enter, please email golfinc.contest@cypressmagazines.com.
The deadline for submissions is Saturday, April 30, 2016.
