New Castle County and City of Jacksonville extend Billy Casper contracts

New Castle County, Del., and the City of Jacksonville, Fla., have extended partnerships with Billy Casper Golf to manage Delcastle Golf Course and Bent Creek Golf Course, respectively.

Billy Casper Golf has overseen operations at Delcastle GC — and 18-hole, 6,625-yard, par-72 Ed Ault design — since 2009. The Virginia-based management company helped the course launch the “Independence Membership” program featuring unlimited golf, discounted guest fees and merchandise and preferred rates at six nearby courses. The course has also undergone a significant renovation including tree removal, bunker renovation, a new irrigation system and energy-efficient pump station.

Delcastle GC features rolling hills, wide fairways and large, bent grass greens. It has a renovated mini golf course and the Delcastle Learning Center, which includes a lighted driving range with 40 automated tee mats and two large grass tees.

Billy Casper Golf has managed Bent Creek Golf Course since 2005. Significant portions of the course have undergone recent renovations including the cart path, bunker, tee boxes and practice areas. The facility has also hosted more than 500 rounds of FootGolf since Billy Casper Golf introduced the golf-soccer hybrid game in September 2014.

Founded more than 20 years ago in cooperation with the late golf legend Billy Casper, the company is the largest owner-operator of golf courses, country clubs and resorts in the U.S. with 151.5 18-hole equivalent courses in 26 states and Washington D.C.
