Two years ago, he and a colleague, Mike Sogan, decided to bring more fun into the game. A byproduct of their 5 months of planning is a player development program called; “Golf for the Fun of it!” Dillon is currently advisor and consultant with “It’s About Results!”, a firm designed to aid and support the industry in several areas.

Mark Woodward

Woodward took the helm of the GCSAA in 2008 after overseeing the highly successful U.S. Open at Torrey Pines Golf Club for the city San Diego. He was named San Diego golf operations manager in 2005. He previously had worked for 31 years for the city of Mesa, Ariz., in its golf operations. His achievements at Torrey Pines included supervision of a $6 million renovation of the course as well as restructuring of its management and operations. Woodward served as GCSAA president in 2004. He chairs the Golf 20/20 Environmental Committee, serves on the LPGA Commissioner’s advisory council and also is the CEO of The Environmental Institute for Golf. |
