Four of the biggest names in the business of golf, representing the four largest golf management companies in the U.S., will headline the CEO keynote at the 2017 Golf Inc. Summit

Dana Garmany, Chairman and CEO of Troon, Steve Skinner, CEO of KemperSports, Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of Billy Casper Golf and Mark Burnett, COO of ClubCorp will join Golf Inc. Editor in Chief Jack Crittenden for the keynote session.

Troon is the largest management company in the world with 270 courses. ClubCorp is the second largest with 200 courses and the largest owner of clubs. Billy Casper Golf is the third largest in the U.S. with 150.5 18-hole equivalent courses. KemperSports is fourth largest with 134 courses.

“We are pleased that the key leaders continue to make the Summit a must-attend event,” said Jack Crittenden, Editor in Chief of the Golf Inc. and the primary planner behind the Summit. “We expect to have an in-depth discussion on the biggest issues facing the golf industry.”

The Golf Inc. Summit will take place at the Ritz Carlton, Lake Oconee in Greensboro, GA., Sept. 25 to Sept. 27th. It will feature 26 educational sessions, and eight networking events.

The CEO keynote will focus on the Big Picture — providing attendees with a forecast of the trends, challenges and opportunities facing the industry. It will be followed by several sessions that will delve deeper into various topics, with three tracks — private clubs, public courses and investors.

Investor sessions will focus on buying or selling a golf course, investing in a golf course, redeveloping a golf course and repositioning a golf course to improve value.

“The biggest trend in the golf industry is the repurposing or reinvention of tired old facilities,” Crittenden said. “We will have several sessions that will focus on how to buy a course and then improve its value — whether through renovation, redevelopment or repurposing it into something of greater value.”

I have completed 4 years as owner of Waubeeka Golf Links in Williamstown, MA. We have turned golf around in this college town by changing the zoning to allow for a 120 room golf resort, replacing all structures with new clubhouse, 300 seat banquet facility, spa, wellness & conference center center, course re-design and more!!! Looking for management company and investor to make this the best resort in the Northeast. 413-441-0993 is personal cell!
